The Jim Hardman Scholarship
About the fund: The Jim Hardman Scholarship was established by John & Marsha Hinsch as a meaningful way to express gratitude to John’s former baseball coach, Jim Hardman, whose guidance, leadership, and dedication made a lasting impact on John both on and off the field. The scholarship allows Coach Hardman’s legacy of mentorship and commitment to young athletes to live on by supporting students as they pursue higher education.
Qualifications:
Applicants must plan to attend an institution of higher learning after high school graduation. Applicants must also:
- be a graduating senior of Piqua High School AND
- have played at least one year of baseball at Piqua High School, including their senior year
Decisions will be based on athletic achievement, dedication to the program through commitment and participation, character and impact as a teammate, school citizenship demonstrated by leadership and involvement, and community citizenship reflected through service and character. Award value: One non-renewable scholarship, awarded based on available fund value.
