The Hinsch Family Fund of The Piqua Community Foundation proudly offers The Hinsch Community Service Awards annually to recognize and celebrate exceptional volunteers supporting charitable organizations. Traditionally, two awards are presented each year.
In 2024, the guidelines were updated to expand the pool of nominations. Instead of recognizing one male and one female volunteer, the awards now honor individuals of any gender or groups of two to five volunteers united by a shared goal.
Each award recipient receives a glass plaque, and the nominating organizations each receive a $2,000 unrestricted grant from The Hinsch Family Fund of The Piqua Community Foundation to further their service to the Piqua community.
The Hinsch Family Fund was established in 2015 by Scott and Margaret Hinsch’s children and their spouses, John and Marsha Hinsch and Linda and the late Bob Campbell. The awards are a tribute to Scott and Margaret’s enduring legacy of service and commitment to the Piqua community.

“We are so humbled to share these awards in memory of my parents
who loved and served Piqua all their lives.” — John Hinsch
The awards for extraordinary volunteer contributions in 2024 are now open, with nominations due by January 20, 2025.
