From the Director
Men and women who get to the top are those who do the jobs they have in hand with everything they have of energy, enthusiasm, and hard work.

The Piqua Community Foundation is blessed to have some of the top people in our area helping us in our mission. In the past month we have benefited from their efforts immensely.
Energy, enthusiasm and hard work were plainly visible at our third annual “Cakes for a Cause” community cake auction. This major fund raiser and community event was a showcase for ninety-two entries which were baked and constructed by hard work and generous spirits. The volunteers who helped during the two days of the event, and all those who baked, bid or donated, made the fund-raiser a rousing success. The proceeds from this year’s event will help build The Foundation’s grant making fund, as did the money raised in the previous two “Cakes for a Cause” auctions.
On our Grants page, you can read about the most recent activities of that grant making fund, known as the Piqua Community Fund. The Foundation distributes grants from the Sperry Fund and the Piqua Community Fund each spring and fall, providing many local organizations with money that is vital to the achievement of their goals. Those serving on the distribution committee have a challenging task, and we commend them on a job well done.
As always, we invite you to contact us at any time with questions or ideas.
