The Piqua Community Foundation recently hosted our fifth “Cakes for a Cause” community event and cake auction – and we can’t say enough in praise of our cake donors, financial sponsors, cake buyers, volunteers and all who helped to make this event successful. In a time when the economy is still struggling, many local residents participated in this spectacular cake auction, drawing crowds of people to the Miami Valley Centre Mall. Please take a moment to read the story on the news page and peruse the lists of those who did so much to support “Cakes for a Cause” this year. The proceeds from the annual event go to making more and larger grants to community organizations who request funding from our Community Fund. You will also find a listing of this season’s grant recipients on the grants page. We invite you to view photos of all of this year’s cakes using the link above. We hope you’ll appreciate the countless hours of effort put into these cakes. The funds they generated will greatly contribute to the well being of community projects and programs that benefit from Foundation funding.
